Alien Sketch Works??

We were looking at some old pictures the other night, and came across one of a very pregnant me.
Me:  "That's a horrible picture."
My Husband:  "No, it isn't.  You look radiant."
Charlie (my 8 year old):  "What does Radiant mean?"
Tommy (my 6 year old):  "Radiant means you look kinda like an alien!"

Conversations

Tommy:  I need help mommy...  no, nevermind.  I don't need you anymore.  I did it myself.

Me:  Really?  You don't need me anymore?  Do you guys think you'll ever not need me anymore?

Charlie:  No, we'll always need you mommy, for love.

Me:  I'll always need you guys for love, too, Charlie.

Tommy:  Yeah, and we'll always need you to reach our dessert, mommy.

ah, yes, least we forget the important things in life...  love and dessert...

If we loved our children more, and hated our neighbors politics less...  the world might be alittle better for it.

Something new for the New Year

I wanted to try something new so I tried drawing a Zendala.  I did have to break out my quilting rulers but it was alot of fun.

New Class Series

I am working on a new series of classes that I'll be teaching at Stamp Your Art Out in Blue Ash in the Spring.  Have you ever seen those beautiful travel journals created by artists, a combination of drawings, watercolor paintings, and written travel memories?   Here is your chance to travel through time to exotic places without worrying about dysentery, bandits or extra baggage fees.  I'll teach you tricks to add drawings to your journal without being able to draw!  Our journals will come to life by combining tracing, collage, watercolor, stamping, and many other techniques.  We'll fully immerse ourselves in our fun destination and learn something along the way!
